The elk were around but it was extremely foggy and they were a few hundred yards away. My zoom didn't get quite close enough so I had to crop way in during post-editing just to get a decent photo. Unfortunately, they photos are fairly blurry and probably won't be able to reproduce as a very large print. Oh well...pretty cool to get to see some elk.

Wow, Scott, the layers of colors in these shots are great! They're magnificent creatures, aren't they? I took these shots at Boxley last fall with a hand-held, 26x zoom lens and was thrilled with what I got at dusk! Did you go with John last week? djnana · 2011-02-27: 14:06
