Little girl in Bago. kids and women traditionaly put on this kind of gingery power on their face to prevent sunburn. I think it looks extra cute on kids. ; )

I was walking around the most amazing temple in Rangoon, and found this old gentleman smailed at me, so I asked politely if I could take a picture of him, of course he's got the most awesome beard as well! ; )

People of different cultures always seem strange and fascinating. yi have been living in central Europe for many years and from my point of view, the oriantal East seems so peaceful, its people happy and, for the greater part, happy with their lives or their souls. i do hope you were not lost for far too long! I believe you are lucky to have journeyed to such beautiful places.

Hmmmm.... if I were standing in front of that sign, I'd be pretty lost also. :-) I think lack of ability to read signs is the hardest part of travel. Great photos... especially the little girl!

the kid is so lovely but i doubt about the effectiveness of the anti-sunburn power.. even if it works, there are going to be white spots on her face, lol you are a brave traveller to visit Burma at this time anyway how it is going there right now?
