The red gourd was swinging back and forth slightly even though there was no breeze. The eggs had hatched! The chickadee parents were taking turns delivering food to the babies. There was only room for one parent in the gourd at a time, so while one was feeding, the other, with food in beak, would watch the surroundings while waiting.

Oh, cool set! The chickadees are adorable, but I love the raccoons!
Janet! These are terrific! The last shot is so cool, with the wings spread and blurred like that. You captured quite a moment with the raccoons there -- mom flaunting her swollen teats! And the birth from the chrysalis is magical. Such gorgeous detail!
