I love calicos. I think the combination of orange, black and white is a brilliant choice. I can't believe I missed another Caturday. Cosey is going to be very annoyed with me after posing under the faucet so well.

Thanks for your visit and comments.Yes, this fellow was not easy to spot against the snow but we tried to follow that tail. Re the question about the hawk..I'm not 100% sure but it's probably a red tailed hawk. |

Super toad photos! What kind of toads are they? We have mostly American toads here.
Thanks Janet. This is the Common Toad (bufo bufo). The yesterday picture of the mating pair were frogs! I get frog spawn (in clusters) and toad spawn (in ribbons) in my pond so I am sure I have both creatures. I just looked up the difference between the two, and among various things, frogs hop, and toads walk.
