Some squirrel proof feeders have an adjustable spring. Maybe this squirrel is not heavy enough (yet!) to shut the opening. My squirrels keep a couple of toes on the feeder and not the bar that closes so there's not enough weight to shut it down.
Yeah, mine has an adjustable spring. And it did close. And he STILL manages to get some seeds out of the thing! It's a good thing I like squirrels! ;)

Wow! You are right about the scenery; it's gorgeous! I love the soaring hawks too. Isn't it fun to look down on them with that background?
Absolutely! It really is an incredible place, and I was thrilled to see that hawk!

Galapagos turtle?
Nope, but close. It's a marine iguana!

That's the best series of photos I've seen which give the whole picture and the enormity of it all. And now I understand the blue plastic!
Thanks! Probably should have explained the blue plastic earlier... ;)

I've looked forward to every day of your vacation. What a great way to take your friends with you. The photos are fantastic and the comments are educational and fun. Thank you!
It has been fun sharing my vacation, usually my photos just sit on my hard drive. Photoblog has been a great way to actually do something with them. My pleasure, you're welcome!
