9 Days Old

Reese is still in the hospital, but we've been told it is now a matter of days, not weeks, until he comes home. He is at the equivalent of almost 36 weeks gestation now, meaning he's just getting down the skills he needs to eat. Today he finished his first meal without needing to finish it by a tube feeding, and for two days he's been putting on weight. He was down to 4 lbs. 3 oz. a few days ago but is now up to 4 lbs. 7oz. and getting closer to his birthweight. Of course we are spending most of our time with him at the hospital, so if we are slow returning calls and emails, please be patient with us for a little while longer.
