Day 2 with my tilt-shift lens, so please strap yourself in and remember there is a sick bag underneath your seat.
Learning
1. All of today's shots are taken with an aperture of f/5.6, I'm not sure that it's made that much difference to yesterdays attempts. I wonder what it's like with a really small aperture. Time for some reading, some more playing around and perhaps a controlled experiment shooting the same subject with different sized apertures.
2. Remember the camera doesn't record the size of aperture, so if you want to know later on you've got to keep notes - or just stick with the same one all day.
3. One drawback is that this is a fixed lens with no zoom, so it pays to carry other lenses as well. I couldn't get the long shot of the mill that I wanted today. I did have different lenses with me, but was too infatuated with my new baby to switch. I suspect that when the romance with my new gadget dies down a bit, this is probably a lens that is used better sparingly rather than for every shot.
