Which way to the Tour de France? (what I didn't realise until after I'd looked at the picture again is that the cyclists at the back all have their right leg down and their left leg up; the group at the front all seem to have the opposite. Is there some psychological mechanism by which cyclists automatically synchronise their pedaling? I think we should do a quick Photoblog study to find out).

OK, the cyclist thing must be like the nuns' thing, which I've just realised isn't appropriate here. Anyway, there are about two more steps involving turning around and that's what it's all about: the hokey-spokey... Thanks for this insight into the LTA; I thought it had died out years ago.

We don't have that manu bicycles on the streets...southerners haven't figured out how to give way to them yet, but I have been seeing more scooters since the price of gas has risen. I always love pictures of London cabs. Very nice set!
