This is the view from the hills where I live quite near to llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch which, you might not realise, is one of the shortest place names in Wales.

I live and work in this small disused chapel which is home to an artists’ collective - if you look very carefully you can just about make out three of my friends waving from the balcony.

Luckily Jones the Farmer, loves the old chapel and everyone in it, so I am allowed to shoot his Fresians.

If you want to get up close to a young calf it pays to approach very slowly. Another handy tip is to get a large pink washing up glove, fill it with milk and tie it to your waist. Mmmm.

The other day whilst out sketching cows, I caught a fleeting glimpse of this beautiful Magpie Moth Abraxas (Abraxas) grossulariata.
