90. Return To Sender

Well I got my new camera, and in less than 24 hours I've sent it back (well, I will have when the couriers arrive). It was a Canon EOS 50D, and it was quite simply not good enough. More of this on the forum before too long. In the meantime if anyone has got any suggestions for a suitable alternative I'd love to hear them. But hurry, because I don't plan on hanging around getting a new one ;-)

For the record this shot was taken with the old 400D, which works when tethered but not independently.

How concidental. Asap saw the title I thought of Elvis the Pelvis ;-) for your funeral eh? I forgot to choose the right song for it in my last will... hmmm...
Your camera inside? No, thanks. I have one million things to do before leaving, and tomorrow I must go to Bologna and get back my loving baby (Canon 40D body). I'm so excited (2 hours to go and 2 hours to go back home by train)... then I do hope to have time to use it... and cross both my feet and hand fingers then... 'cos I can't go back to Italy for the camera... gulp... :-))
Good luck, Jon. At least you have a back camera. Any idea for a new one? I love 40D, but I'm not an expert, you know... ;-)

Well Jon just recently I had a chat and during it somebody told the 7 D price is falling down nearly daily. So he told me that the kit is now available already by 1200 € and the body under 1000

I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment, Jon. I hope you get something soon. You might want to consider the semi-pro Pentax if you don't mind the whole lens-buying thing again... Looking forward to reading about it in the forum.

Everything I want I can't afford. Other then the fact that I think my camera is the best compact camera ever, I have no suggestions. :) Good luck to you though.

hmmmm. How disappointing!!~ My camera is a Canon Rebel EOS 450D and fits all my personal and professional needs quite well;
