One of the great benefits of practising photography is that it makes you pay more attention to the world around you. Taken too far and this can become a curse as everything is evaluated as the subject of a potential shot.

revenant Absolutely true, but I prefer the term "occupational hazard" because there may be a cure. Which is exactly what Mr D. needs for that case of acute conjunctivitis.

girafferacing Quite surreal! Do you use your Lensbaby much? A great gadget for giving you a different view on the world but I need to improve my manual focussing skills with mine!

????? everything is evaluated as the subject of a potential shot.

...or a drawing or a poem or a sculpture or a song or a film or a book...and the list goes on...

consider it a blessing Jon.
We are observant, creative and critically thinking beings...
it's the human condition...40,000 years of verbal and visual language built into us...in our very blood. :-)
