I always use a circular polarizing lens, and find it particularly helpful taking glare from the surface of water. It's not perfect, but it helps a lot!

Now, the really surprising thing would be to photograph this water under a microscope-lense, if there is such a thing at all...

I don't have any idea either, our water is river water and going wayyy to fast to photograph anything~ I think you did very well, I like #3!

hmm I can't help you about that...but well, in north, you'd find more species of animals on the beach..but it is really hard since they have a very good camouflage! I'm even impressed how you found these, since south beaches are not very rocky! superb shots!
