This is another photo of one of the flowers I posted the other day. If you click on this link and look at the flower in the foreground of the second picture, you see that it has a strange green growth protruding from the disc florets. Now look at the picture above, you will see that the strange green growth has developed into something else; where there should be short disc florets, there is actually a couple of larger petals. Weird.

Duck Tales

An update from our neighbour. All of the little ducks survived the night and are doing well. Apparently one of them went missing but they managed to find it. My bet is that it is the one Cliff was holding in the photo, which seemed a lot feistier than the others.
