I was going to comment as follows: beware of the curse of Quetzalcoatl, who causes misery for dyslexics everywhere (the European version is, of course, the curse of King Cnut), but then I read your text and Cliff's comment and it reminded me of one of my favourite Punch cartoons, which features two High Middle Ages characters negotiating their way over a geometrically impossible landscape. One says to the other: "I hope they get this perspective thing sorted out soon".
