Day 102: Off Again, This Time Poland
Night Train to Poland, a shaking train wagon, restless sleep
I was not quite ready to go again. I had hardly caught up. I had time to take a run along the Donau, and blog a little. But we were headed to a new adventure with the Macalester Program.
Funny thing, small world. I ran into Katie Engevik on the train platform. We were in the same night train, which split between Berlin and Krakow. What? Long enough for a small conversation and a hug.
I also took a pretty lame picture. I hate night trains, by the way.
But I want to take a moment to reflect on this blog project, because pictures like this make me feel guilty. It’s kind of impossible to live with my camera at my side at every moment of my life. And often, when I’m truly experiencing something, I don’t bother to take a picture. (This is important preparation for a day in the “future.”) So pictures like this happen, because there are a multitude of factors that prevent me from capturing the “right picture.” But ultimately, this project is for me, to document a year of my life, I guess.
