So I've been eating almost entirely vegetarian at home. This has been mostly awesome. I've discovered more diversity in my diet and more fruits and veggies. I pretty much only eat meat in Restaurants.

This is not only practical (i.e. not having to worry about cooking meat and cooking with my vegetarian roommate), but it also has good karma attached. I had watched this Ted Talk over a year ago and it had really resonated with me. So at that point, I started vegetarian Tuesdays. One day a week was not so hard, but I was still thinking in terms of meals structured around meat. I feel like I've started to see meals more flexibly.

By eating less meat, I'm not only being health conscious, but it also has a better effect on the world. Essentially, it has allowed me to think of meat, not as the main course (or as a necessity) but rather as an additional and delicious part of a meal.

This however, doesn't make me miss a good steak any less.
