Day 182: Last Day in Vienna
Last View of the Karlskirche
I spent my last day in Vienna by taking a walk through Museumsquartier, Naschmarkt, and to the Karlskirche. My bags were already packed, it was only a matter of getting the weight right (that is for my checked bag; I overstuffed the hell out of my carry-ons).
We went to the Donauinsel FKK-Bereich to go swimming. We had one last afternoon of laughter before we parted our separate ways, whether it be home or organic farming.
In the now empty apartment, we made a dinner that attempted to clean out the entire cupboards. It involved sautéing at least 6 onions, and then we had a mix of delicious vegetables on top of that.
We took one final evening walk to Schwedenplatz for ice cream, which completed a nice day of walking around Vienna, saying goodbye to everything. I have no idea if or when I will be back.
Also, if you haven't already noticed, note the dog that's chasing birds in the fountain in the bottom of the picture. That's how I kind of felt on my last day: running around trying to catch a host of elusive things.
This completes month 6, the halfway point of this project.
