Day 214: Move-In Day at 480 Mac!

A relatively clutter-free living room/dining room (no table yet), after a hectic move-in day
The house was officially ours at 12:00 on August 1st. So we brought our furniture caravan from Minnetonka over to St. Paul.
The weather turned out to be one of those way-too-hot days of summer, but we survived getting things into the house, even if they were still partially in boxes.
When I move, I like to get things as orderly as possible ASAP, which means unpacking boxes until late into the night. But it's such an exciting prospect to live in the same city, house, and room for possibly a whole year- something that I haven't enjoyed for over a year. Here's to an exciting chapter: my first house!
That night, I slept on the floor with no mattress. That luxury was still a couple days away.
