I changed this from a black and white version to colour on Last Frontier's suggestion, and I agree, the shot does work better in colour.

I'm working on using natural light outdoors. I hoped that we would be able use direct sunlight in the late afternoon, but I didn't realise how long it would take for the sun to be low enough. It wasn't until it was time for us to leave that the light was soft enough to use. Now I know to check online for the time of sunset, and start the session no more then one hour before.
This is the second in a series that Jon-Paul Khouri and I are doing. He wants to get some good headshots, and I want to work on my portrait skills.
I've posted a lot of images here. I'd like feedback: which two do you think are strongest?
(ok, I replaced a couple that didn't work, but left the ones any of you have mentioned, and added one more at the end.)
