The bluest eyes.

She is a friend and neighbor. I can't quite capture the intense blue of her eyes.

I'll have to wait until spring to see her in her garden again.

Edit: As usual, I come back the next day and take out some pictures. The second two were close, but missed something. It is after I see them in this format, and after a day, that I can see the pictures more objectively.

The flowers are very pretty however the first picture is beyond words. This is a woman you can talk to, a woman who will listen. Wow, there is experience in her eyes! The hands that care for the tender flowers truly belong to a tender heart..

Striking, compelling portraits. She reminds me of Dame Judi Dench. As always with your portraits, the emotions portrayed and conveyed don't immediately translate into words. Trying to break down the emotions on her face is like trying to explain what a poem is about to someone who has never read it. To understand a poem, read the poem. To understand your portraits, see the portraits. They are complex, never facile, never easily summed up. "She's happy. She's sad. She's pensive. She's angry. She's strong. She's vulnerable." All of those elements, and so many more, are there.

Also, you know I love your sexy orchids.
