Very cool. What part did you do with photoshop...the color? They have a nice depth of field, and I like their uniform panoramic-ness.

I played with saturation and desaturation, but I also used one of those photoshop filters that selects edges. The mural is very large. I took all my pictures on an angle to do exactly that - play with and practice depth of field.

You nail this series right on the head JG!! This is more than superb - this brings out all of your artistic talent (yes I know you have it from the past) and your creativity!! Magnificent series that requires to you to take a bow!! I am clapping!! Bravo!! I am standing, but I don't know why!!

#3 is my fave. It looks like those photos from outer space. You seem to be getting well aquainted with your new camera. I enjoy looking at your photos. Your composition is A+. The way you cropped them is really lovely. It compliments your set. Photoshop scares me, it's so big, so powerful that I could get lost in it for days.

"Bravo!! I am standing, but I don't know why!!" - that made me laugh, art. Maybe you should have a seat. Monkeyface, if you get lost for days in photoshop, the little doggie will go in there and find you! Or I will. There you will be, saturated, contrasty, pixelated and flipped horizontally, resized, cropped perhaps, but happy.

I think it works as a single work, rather than a series of individual pieces. Your uniform cropping enforces this. I know it's not possible here, but I'd like to see the same series arranged vertically. I just turned my laptop 90 degrees to effect this, and it's interesting. If I was going to hang them on my wall, that's how I'd arrange them. If I had to choose a single favorite element of the whole, it would the the stark #2. Removing all color puts the focus squarely on pattern, rhythm, depth of field.

JG, I must admit I expect to see portaits when I visit your site but not to hammer the point home but you nailed this real good. Look forward to your petrol on the wet road series! It should be a GAS!
