A friend and I went to a seminar out of the city. The first is a composite shot of the view from the hotel room. Mind numbingly featureless and ugly. This is a landscape defined by cars, not people. I feel badly for the rare few who traverse it on foot.

The second shot, taken early in the morning, shows an aspect of someone who I know very well. I love this picture because it is unmasked. I love the honesty.

The last two pictures were taken from the car on the way back to urban.

I learned a lot about the neuropsychology of addiction today. And I was happy to get back downtown to a landscape that might seem ugly to others. Home.
