brave new world

This morning I put tea biscuits in the oven to toast, and went to look out the window, forgot all about them until I smelled the burning. I put them in the sink and put two more in the oven, and went to grab my camera ...

So, no breakfast, I figured I might as well go out on the balcony and have a look. I let the cats go outside for the first time since I got them. As much as they didn't like the cold on their feet, they were fascinated. I had to pick them up and carry them in kicking and wriggling.

In the last picture, you can see my neighbor's hand out the window. She's focusing on her hand in order to take a photo of the huge snowflakes.
