good morning kensington

2007.03.17

I got up early and walked towards kensington market to see the morning unfold.

I saw quite a few young people shivering at bus stops on their way to work.

The fish and meat stores open early. For some reason, the fruit and cheese people sleep in later.

The woman in the coffee shop has to be up by six am to be at work serving coffee to the various weird and wonderful locals. She does it with good grace and a friendly smile. Her family is far away in Sydney, and I'm sure they would like to take a look at what she's up to.

(now I feel like taking a nap)

Ron9000, I'll plan a trip to the east end one day when I'm in an adventurous mood. I'll call the set "travel photos". Everything is relative.

i love number 5! the reflections and the colours through the window are great. it feels very natural. i like this set. you've captured the morning feeling. and i appreciate seeing that world at that time through photos rather then in real life! haha.
