Number 16 is an adult breeding male House Sparrow. Adult because his black "beard" is quite large and the older they get, the more prominent the beard gets. Non-breeding males are much more muted in colour. They were introduced long ago by the English who wanted to bring all the birds mentioned in Shakespearian plays to the New World. Unfortunately, they have competed with native birds quite effectively. (Commentary by Genevieve!(I've been waiting to use that bit of trivia!))

A really strong set up photos! My favorite is that one of the dogs getting ready to pounce on each other, then the follow-up where the German shepherd looks like it's got the collie's back. They work well together. I also anjoyed seeing the peacock's backside. I can see why he puts so much energy into looking good up front!
