Man of the Ear

2007.07.07
I rode my bike over and snuck into Bradley's garden/jungle early this morning. I wanted the opportunity to be alone and take pictures. I find that socializing and taking pictures don't mix that well. I like to lose myself in seeing, and I DON'T like suggestions.

That spider has a summer's worth of good eating strung up and ready to go.

wild columbine reminds me of a court jester. I'm going to get some seeds form this one to plant in the fall.

Bradley finds and collects things from all over. He always admired Magpies. He got these heads along with other body parts that were being discarded when a business (what business?) was closing down. Most of them are labeled with the subject's name.

He's always got projects on the go - fixing, refurbishing, building. He finds things at yard sales and street corners, and makes them work. Yesterday, he finished restoring a beautiful solid wood table he found in the trash.

I must admit that I lightened the load on his raspberry bushes by a quart or so. I've got to plant raspberries in my garden!

strange flower, much loved by bumbley bees.

As I came around the side of the house, Bradly was standing there - he'd come out to get the paper, and was wondering why my bicycle was there. Some people might lend an ear. Bradley GAVE me this one. Don't worry. He has another one.

added note: on the back of the plaster ear, there is a name written in bold green letters. If you're BOB ROBERTSON, I wonder why you never picked up your ears.

Sheldon So so colourful. That raspberry shot is unbelievably vivid and clear.

Did you buy a macro to get some of these shots - like the snail?
