finding out who you are.

she doesn't believe him, and she's right.

An amazing player with an uncanny ability to detect when I am lying. Which makes it even more fun to talk him out of his accurate perceptions.

I don't trust you, but you're funny.

Pointing the finger.

New to the game.

Look how the man on the left pretends to listen carefully to the man on the right when he already KNOWS who the mafia is, because he IS the mafia.

She looks so calm and relaxed she could almost fall asleep. That's because she's lying.

Lying.

Has lost all faith in humankind.

she tells the truth, but no one believes her.

Always innocent. Always accused.

The afterlife: Once you've been killed, you can watch, but with insider information. It's just as interesting once you know who is lying.

Game-induced paranoia sets in.

Phenomenally good player. The only way to win is to have her on your side - or kill her off early.

Our host and an excellent narrator for the game.

Success in this game relies on your ability to lie convincingly, to behave unpredictably, and detect when others are lying.

The lighting was not at all suited for photographs, so everything is very grainy, and I didn't get usable pictures of some of the key players.

taifallos Nice, I really like your take on the game, rather than just snapshots you've certainly done a great job of capturing an entire story!

t2d4th I love the "she tells the truth..." shots. Great set...lots of personality comes through. You run with an interesting crowd. :-)

longimanus Such great portraits! All of them reflects interesting personalities!
I think the luck of light was an advantage, the grainy texture (due to high iso setting?) gives a great touch! Great fun!

The New Guy A great night - and even better pictures? Nice shots, Julia.

EddieD125 To funny, but great story board and I loved the pictures of the players, you did good. :) You want to meet the real Mafia, just go live in Wa. *LOL*

stormfish i have the feeling i would like this game - even though i'd probably suck big time at it. lying is just something i never get quite right. and i probably would wander off to take pictures, just like you did. faces like these... what a grande fiesta for a portrait photographer! :-)
stormfish · 2007-07-20: 09:36
miclaud Great set! Original game... and comments... I must try with my friends...
miclaud · 2007-07-22: 08:51
subash Very engaging! Particularly the sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth pictures seem to tell a story all by themselves even without the captions.

Anonymous User I wanna play!

cavist Do not know if this is only me, but I feel a b/w portrait might even look better when grainy. You are a good storyteller. Are you lying...?
