the move

2007.07.22
Many years ago, this man's children left their hometown to live in other countries. One daughter came back to Canada, but settled in another city. Earlier this week, he said goodbye to his community in Montreal to move here, near his daughter.

I think about how much of life involves letting go.

stormfish once again, wise lines perfectly illuminated by your portraits.

this man looks like he demands some respect, which he doesn't get enough. that also is somethign we all oughta let go more... respect is a gift, not a requirement.

EddieD125 That's so cool. :) Glad he was able to do that. He has the look I often wonder, is he thinking of things he may of missed by not grabbing at the oppurtunities when they arose? Life goes around once, and it's nice ot get out and do everything that one can (with common sense). :) Great shots Julia. :)

dadlak The first photo in particular speaks to how difficult it is for the elderly to leave their homes to move nearer to those who can care for them.
