Palmetto Point: Sons of this community.

Many people living in Nassau and elsewhere came back home for this funeral, and some were staying here, at the Tropical Dreams Motel. This man grew up in Palmetto Point, and had a lot of respect for the Reverend.

His friend was a funny guy and a good storyteller. He grew up here too, and was making me laugh with stories about how policing can work in a small community. You get caught for speeding, the policeman tells your father - that's seen as more important then giving you a ticket.

Such an open-hearted, genuine and considerate person. I wonder how it is to leave a community like this and find your way in a city like Nassau.
