stopping to tie her shoe. I took this from the window of the streetcar. there was no time to think about settings. I loved the light coming from behind the fence, and these two little girls. I've post processed it to bring out a particular effect that makes me think of painting.

Nice work on the third shot, I really like how the light inside the shop spills over and is so 'welcoming' even in the dark outside. And great shadows on #4.

It's a totally subjective view, of course. but I really like your 'looser' photography. i particularly like the strange 'Empire of Light' thing, going on in the 4th shot.

hey, that first photo would have done Walker Evans proud (do you know his work?) A great series — you really have a knack for capturing something that is visually interesting.
