I like this contemplative view of Annabelle.

I was *going* to title this picture 'lucky Sherri', but that would have been TOTALLY inappropriate, so I won't.

a deep kind of listening

this expression reflects what I know of Chris - watchful, perceptive, reserved, in charge, curious, and so very keen. Sharp. like a blade. like a hawk.

elegant ending

I took most of these photos during discussions and breaks, so I have very few pictures of the actual performing. I was too engaged in the action to stop for photos.

more about Toronto Playback Theatre.

In improvisational theatre, every moment involves entering an unknown. That would be scary enough working alone, but this is an unknown that depends on others, and the work is physical.

The challenge for me is to stay open yet grounded, active and balanced at the same time.

If you are curious about this workshop, there is a little more background on it in the series I did at the previous workshop in February.

DancingDolphin I really like the intense shot of Chris, very few people look right into the camera this way.... well done!

Sherri Yes, indeed, lucky Sherri.
And you, Julia, are one fine photographer. Can I order some copies?!

Carley Of all the people I see on this photoblog, you take the most consistently amazing photographs! You always seems to catch the person inside... and your lighting is spectacular.
Carley · 2008-03-31: 23:21
ShangriLa Lots of nice portraits there. I particularly like Jerry with guitar, Rob, and Annabelle. As a not portrait, i like leilani. That nuno felt scarf looks rather nice - unusual colour combo.

albertomoreira Muchas felicidades Julia, me encantaran tus photos!
