Todd is a great, generous performer, and often I take a picture of the character he's playing in that moment. I like the last shot of this set because I see Todd himself. Good thing the shutter speed was FAST.

Julia - I have to come back and pay homage to you and your passion for photography. A little more than a year ago I started taking pictures again...I hadn't really photographed for enjoyment since the early 90s. But...I purchased a digital camera and started playing with photography again. I mainly focused on "things". Things without emotion...things that didn't react...things that were perfectly happy to just sit there and let me shoot them as long as I liked. Then ...one fateful day, I came across your photoblog. You photographed PEOPLE...and you captured a LOVE FOR LIFE and for those in your COMMUNITY. Your vision of your world almost instantly challenged me to look at my world differently. Now I too am consumed with a passion for photographing people. It is exciting...fun...challenging...frustrating...rewarding...amazing! Connecting with the people is the most rewarding part of people photography. I end up cherishing the photographs that I have taken because I was bless with making a genuine connection with the person that I photograph. I am still nowhere close to your talent or I don't see the world with the same vision/passion that you do...but it has changed my life forever. Your images were the major influence...the spark that started the fire that fuels my desire to photograph real life and real people.
