Ali Garrison and Claudia Moore

2009.02.25
Mezzo-Soprano Ali Garrison prepares to sing Nana's Lied by Kurt Weill.

Dancer and choreographer Claudia Moore rehearses with Ali at Dovercourt House

as the work begins

Throughout the piece, I felt the connection between the singer and the dancer, which gave another dimension of witness and relationship to this song about a woman alone.

This work will be performed in Toronto at the ROM on Sunday March 1 at 3pm in the main atrium.

where are the tears we shared last evening? where are the snows of yesteryear?

I can't find a good translation of Brecht's lyrics. If anyone has one, please send it to me.
