I try so hard NOT to photograph flowers. I scold myself. The last thing the world needs is more pictures of flowers, and I vow I will not indulge the reflexive impulse.

and then these - their graceful necks, the bend into sunlight - difficult to hold so much beauty.

I always appreciate beauty, even from the obvious, like from flowers. But photographers photograph what screams out to them, these were screaming "capture my beauty!". Good job. I wonder if they would be as stunning with the back light in black and white. seykana · 2010-03-04: 13:05
