LastFrontier Looking forward to seeing your kitties in the wild. Lost cable connectivity, and saw title and just a bit of ears while awaiting photos to download. Vacuumed room before I gave up on dial-up. How my patience and expectations have changed. Hope cable guy deigns to visit tomorrow or Friday. Sorry to miss caturday/laburday/dog-grr-day. So many doggie pics in computer, of course. -Jan

OH!

Sweet sweet Jane. Sweet sweet you two too. Oh! My!

(and I always loved the Cowboy Junkies version best. now it's her theme song)
Me too -- Cowboy Junkies version all the way (from the Trinity Sessions, which was recorded in Church of the Holy Trinity, where I sang with Echo Choir...).
Jane was lovely... Turns out she's the smallest in the litter, which wasn't clearly the case when she chose us last visit, but she's healthy and lively. She's not the first to dive into anything, but isn't timid and seems to be able to hold her own with her bigger siblings. And she's also very calm. I handled her ears and her toes and she was alert but not concerned. When the breeder called the pups to wake them up (a high-pitched "puppy! puppy! puppy!") all of them sat up and looked around and scrambled over to her -- except Jane, who slept through the whole thing. We take that as a good thing -- she doesn't get all excited over nothing, and pays attention to her needs... That's our story, and we're stickin' to it.
We can bring her home 24 hours after she gets her shots -- which likely means August 1. I've submitted a request to change my holidays so that I get the full two weeks with her & Pam (I was originally going to start my holidays on July 26th).
There are tons more pics, of course, but didn't want to upload the whole series. Don't worry, there will be plenty more postings, of course.

Is Jane going to be home soon?
Pam and I are going to see her on Saturday (July 19) and we hope she'll be able to come home with us around July 30, which is near the beginning of my 2-week holiday. She'll be a little under 8 weeks, and we'll take the advice of the breeder, but it would be great to have most of that time with her as we all get adjusted.

so much personality comes through. and the light has a magical quality. maybe your processing in sepia is what brings this out so much. I don't know. but somehow she really comes through. I guess it is the way she is really looking at you that makes this picture so lively.
Thank you Julia!
Such a wonderful compliment... I'm so thankful you visited some of my shots today :)

Excellent website. I admire your web developer's use of strict XHTML doctype, as well as your writing and design. Well done. I will keep watching and reading. -Jan

fantastic fantastic! you look more put together, coiffed and elegant at the bottom of the deep blue sea then I do when I leave the house to go out for dinner! how do you manage that? and your description - very funny AND informative.
Thank you Julia... I am still smiling. This shot is out of at least 10... all the others are rubbish, some of them even with some stuff hanging out of my nose! This was just a lucky moment...

yes, that looks like a great event and lots of fun. Love to see the grandkids having fun.
Thanks Julia, it is about the grandkids. Sadly, they won't remember much about the people, just the swimming pool, games, and the "bugs". *L*
