I like the narrow DOF, and the spinal tap reference. Did you see spinal tap on john stewart last week? Boy am I glad I don't live with someone who can't throw anything away!
Haha! Yeah... I save everything... No, unfortunately I missed them! I did see them on Conan a while back though.

I'm wondering about your blog - certainly a great selection of photos, and your text is very interesting. Since this is a photography website, I would greatly appreciate any information about who took the pictures, since this is a history of photography that you are presenting as well.
Julie, I appreciate the question. I have a couple of purposes for my photoblog. First, it combines two of my great passions, history and vintage photographs. With historical photographs I find a perfect marriage. As you note, these vintage photographs are also an historical record of the art of photography itself. Wherever possible the artist (and I consider photography an art form at the level of these photos) is given credit. That's important to me even though all of these photos are in the public domain. By giving credit to the artist it stimulates further interest in their work and the work of other photographers. But in many cases the origins of these photos are unknown, i.e. who took the pictures. Regardless, I would like to think my photoblog is a celebration of history, America and the beautiful art of photography. I hope this answers your inquiry. Regards, RSW/
