Every so often I like to think that I'm going to eat more fruit. Maybe I'll even eat it for breakfast. So at the market last Saturday I was convinced if I bought fresh fruit, I'd eat it. Come Wednesday morning, this wasn't the case, and the fruit was looking a bit mournful. So I decided to make a crisp.
I love google, and hold it, and the website 101 Cookbooks responsible for the second recipe win this week. I wanted to use both the peaches and plums I bought, and didn't have enough of each to just make a homogeneous crisp. So I typed into google "plum and peach crisp" and this is where it led me: http://www.101cookbooks.com/archives/plum-and-peach-crisp-recipe.html
Thank you 101 Cookbooks. This was amazing, and again I can somewhat reason it's healthy because it has yogurt in the topping instead of 100% butter, and fruit. I used plain greek yogurt which gave it a bit of a bite, but not too much. The mix of peaches and plums provided some tart sweetness. Can I get away with eating fruit crisp for breakfast?
