Beating The Winter Blues

My favorite display at the show (the Theme was Fairy Tales)... for those of you who aren't making the connection here... It's from "The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe". It was fantastic and you actually peered through a wardrobe to look at their design! It was fantastic! :)

At the "Wizard of Oz" display they had a contest for people to use flowers and plants to create costumes and other pieces from the movie. This was the costume for the mayor of the Munchkins.... absolutely incredible!

It was a cold day, but incredibly clear and I decided the perfect time to get some architectual shots! This was of a hotel we spotted on our walk back to Brett's truck...

This I snapped while Brett was starting the truck! Caught my eye immediately and I wandered away from him to get this one :)

Sunday morning when we woke up - though we still felt quite crappy from the previous evening - we went and picked up Bretts sister to grab some food and afterwards dropped her off and then drove down to Providence to the Flower and Garden show. Brett's Mom had told us about it the day before and Brett thought it would be a great place to go and get more use out of my camera which was being greatly avoided during my stay!!
I was quite happy with the pictures we got, and after a few hours of hanging around there we packed it in and made our way to his parents place just outside of Boston for a birthday dinner. Fantastic Sunday indeed!!

looks like a really cute show...very creative and different to the standard flower show.......I can see why the last building caught your eye......it looks incredible against the highly contrasting sky.

I made "The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe" connection immediately! It was one of my childhood favorites. Great photo! It's so nice to hear that Brett is supportive of your photoging hobby. I love how he thought you'd get great shots at the show. Whatta guy!
