Welcome March!!

2008.03.03
Crossing the pedestrian bridge from Front Street towards the CN Tower and Skydome...

The giant sculptures on the side of the Skydome.... they are on the east and west side of the building facing out towards Front Street.... I've always wanted to get a really decent picture of them... today seemed fitting - even though there were warnings everywhere and the ground was flooded from all the ice finally melting off the top of it...

There she is! The building from the posts in March - just taken from the west side... rather than directly in front of it...

Also from the west side... just a different angle! That is the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on the left side of the picture - this building is also pictured in the same post as the original shot of the building on the right from back in January

Today after a half day at work I had to head downtown for an appointment... and I couldn't be happier that I brought my camera. I didn't get to make use of it until after my appointment... which worked out very well, because by that time it was gorgeous and sunny out! To top it off the day was warm... warm enough that I was finally able to ditch my summer jacket for a change!

After snapping a couple down by the CN Tower and Skydome (or Rogers Center for those who willingly accepted the corporate take over... I didn't haha)... I headed back to Union, and with some time to spare before my train... I made my out front to try to capture that building that was so admired from a post back in January! I tried a couple different angles, but it's really hard to capture the depth that is visible with the naked I... so those are my best attempts... I guess they turned out okay! :) I think for these ones it's just the colour of the building that really gets me......

Queen911 I'm totally impressed. I love the angles of the building in #4. When I look at #2 it looks like the man is thumbing his nose at the people below. Am I correct?

Peche Great set Ker, love it :) I love urban, so it's a winner. #4 would be the standout for me, for its contrast.
