Katherine's Ice Cream Birthday cake! The photo on top is a joke that the four of us who attended all know about!! Far too funny!!!

Saturday was my cousin's 23rd birthday! The two of us are pretty much six months apart exactly (her being older) and we have grown up side by side. I would originally have liked to use a collection of pictures of her and I growing up together but all the ones I have are on CD and my disk drive is broken... so above are today's post.

Tonight myself, my brothers girlfriend Amber and our good friend Shawna (from Katherine's husbands family) headed over to Katherine's for a girls wine night and fondue. It worked out well that Earth Hour fell on last night as we lit some candles and spent the night sitting around chatting, eating and sipping wine! It was an incredibly lovely evening to celebrate the birthday of someone as special as my cousin!

The last photo is a beautiful shot of her from her wedding day, July 22nd 2006. So today I say Happy Birthday to Katherine! The sister I never had!!!!!

PaperWings This is really funny cause I was listening to NPR this morning and heard all about the hour without power and how there was a huge number of people who participated in Canada. Since you are the only person I know in Canada :) I wondered to myself, "Did KerBear participate?" NOW I KNOW!
Great shots, the color ones have such warmth and the b/w have such a mood to them.
Great tribute to your cousin, too. She looks beautiful in that last shot!
