Looky what I found in my own backyard! :) YAY! It's finally here... BEAUTIFUL WEATHER!!!!

Mmmm, ice cream birthday cake! Christina had a bit of trouble... they didn't take it out of the freezer early enough.... and that knife eventually ended up in two pieces when her boyfriend attempted to cut slices for everyone....

This weekend has been gorgeous with summer like temperatures... and that makes for one very happy ME! :) Yesterday morning (when I got back from a hair appointment... HOORAY!) I wandered out into the garden to snap what few flowers were already in bloom. My excitement swelled when I spotted buds on our magnolia tree... they are my favorite and my hope is that it will bloom before we leave for Florida in a weeks time!
Following some shoot time we headed about 45 minutes north to my Aunt's house for her husbands 50th birthday (they only just married in September, so I have yet to take to calling him my Uncle... just because I'm not used to it... trust me, I think he is GREAT!)... and up there the weather was even MORE beautiful. Shining sun and temps close to 30C (unheard of at this time of year... oh yes, and for Americans... we're talking mid 80s!) We soaked up some sun and enjoyed everyones company.
Later in the evening I headed back over to my cousins house were everyone was gathering to celebrate their friends birthday. We played a bit of rockband, ate ice cream cake and watched the UFC fights! For those wondering... GSP KILLED Matt Serra! YAY!!!!!!!! Great fight... hope everyone else enjoyed their Saturday! :)
