Birthday Madness

Today was absolute birthday madness!! Well - yesterday was actually my bosses birthday but he was in Boston for a conference (imagine that!!!!). We spent a lot of time yesterday in the office deciding what to do and finally settled on filling his office with balloons. His office is a little larger than we anticipated...SO two helium tanks and 400 balloons (after all the ones that popped or had holes I would anticipate a final number of somewhere around 375 or 380 - give or take!) later... his office looked like the above photo. The balloons on his ceiling were probably four or five balloons deep in some spots - what a sight and he thought it was hilarious!!!
After work I headed over to my dear friend Shawna's house to celebrate her 23rd birthday! Shawna and I met back in Grade 9 (so 9 years ago now - September 1999) and though we don't see each other as much as we would like to now, I feel so lucky to know we have each other no matter what and can always pick up right where we left off.... and bonus, I always feel like a member of the family when I go over and get big hugs from her parents. THAT my friends is a true friendship. So I dedicate this post to Shawna on her 23rd birthday.... Happy Birthday Shawna my dear! I love you tons!!
