Grandeur...

On Friday an old and dear friend of mine from when I lived in Ottawa came in Toronto with some friends to see a Jays game so after work I headed out to meet them. They were out shopping so after picking up what they needed we headed back to their hotel so they could change for the game and we could drink a few beers before they took off.

They were staying at the most gorgeous hotel in the city. I had never been INSIDE of the building before this night, but I have taken a photo of it before. (click here... fourth photo down... The Royal York, b&w). Regardless, I couldn't help myself snapping a photo of it's gorgeous (and impressive) lobby.

In other news, I got a phone call tonight from Brett that left me less than impressed (and not because of him). Some things have happened that only continue to worry me.... so I'm hoping to be making a trip down to Boston at the beginning of August to be there with him when he will need me most. Let me say... I'll be happy when this whole distance thing is behind us.....
