So today I had a job interview downtown, and thankfully it was just around the corner from my favorite Toronto landmark. The Maple Leaf Gardens is the only arena still standing of the original six. It is also the last place for my Leafs to have won a Stanley Cup - way too long ago! It was nice to get out for a bit this afternoon after my interview though and take a walk around the outside of the arena. It's such a beautiful piece of architecture, and it's so sad to think it's sitting there left unused at the moment.

lifeisgood Thanks for sharing the history of a beautiful, old building. Hope the interview went well.

mowestlan I cried when they tore down Olympia Stadium in Detroit...I feel your sadness. I think of the old Tiger Stadium's future, too...
