Dong Tang (East Church)

Also known as St. Joseph's Cathedral, this is one of only two catholic churches here in Beijing. We usually go here on Sundays to hear Mass when we can't attend the anticipated mass closer to home on Saturdays. It's quite popular to the Chinese and is usually a site for a lot of wedding pictorials, not necessarily having the wedding in the church. Other interesting groups we see outside the church are the skateboarders and the hip-hop dancers with their portable music player practicing their moves.

Inside the church

We were seated right by the entrance when this cute couple had their wedding pictorial by the side of the church. Note red color motif for the couple! This was taken while there was mass inside by the way.
