We trooped to the city today to look for the largest, biggest store for eyeglasses here in Beijing. Could not believe it first that an entire building, all 4 floors of it, are filled with about 200 optical shops only, nothing else. If you don't have your prescription with you, they can check and do the eye test for free. Or bring in your current glasses and they can copy the grade. All free and inclusive with the frames you purchase. Basti picked out a great dark blue pair. And it was done in 10 mins! Be ready to bargain hard, like most everywhere else here, there are no price tags.
