Westchester Lagoon

2008.08.25
Westchester Lagoon is home to many waterfowl. To the east you can see the 13,000-foot vertical rise of the Chugach mountain range.

If I skim the water fast enough, she'll never manage to focus on me. (Ducks of all kinds, loons and sandhill cranes frequent the area. The geese are practicing their formations, ready to head south. Be prepared, oh ye who live in the Lower 48, Canada, and southern climes; here they come.)

Storm brewing. Did you ever notice how leaves face a different way as a storm begins to approach?

To compare colors and contrast, I will post more photos at my subdomain, words and images. Feel free to comment there, as well.
