Vibrant color has yet to arrive in the mountains. Arctic Valley is only a few miles outside Anchorage, on a gravel road that rises to miles of hiking trails and late-summer berry picking. We walked a bit, watched for bear, and the Labs played in mud and icy water. Of course.

Ship Creek flows through the bottom of the valley to the west. I did receive some more pointers about photography on Sunday, but most occurred after I filled the memory card.

there is something that really jumps out at me about 3... all are stunning .. I love the b&w in the first one .. and how clear the water looks in the last ...lovely set that seems to always make me feel peace ..
