The Local Coordination Commitees aim to collect the best photos of the great Syrian Revolution in this blog since these photos were neglected for the sake of video clips
With the start of the Syrian Revolution on March,15,2011. local committees emerged in towns and cities across Syria. These committees took responsibility for meeting, planning and organizing events on the ground within their own communities
Together the committees now form the Local Coordinating Committees of Syria (LCCSyria), an umbrella network with members from most cities and many smaller towns across Syria. LCCSyria will help synchronize the activities of the committees, the movements on the ground and political positions by publishing joint statements. “LCCSyria will be the voice of the people who are protesting in the street," a spokesperson for LCCSyria said. “Forming LCCSyria is a critical step towards mobilizing more protesters, developing opposition strategies and presenting unified demands.”
The Local Coordinating Committees of Syria established a media center to provide timely and accurate information about the Syrian uprising. The media center is
comprised of human rights activists and journalists who have been active in providing reliable information to Arabic and international media outlets since the beginning of the Syrian uprising
