The power went out at around 4:00 this morning, which means the temperature in our house was down to 54° when we woke up. The poor fish were freezing, so we brought in the portable heater from the ice shack to try to warm them (and us) up. One of them did die, but it's hard to say if it was from the cold. The power finally came back on about 10:00, but then went out again for awhile.

While I was in the living room, I saw this branch fall out of the corner of my eye. This is right next to the house, so good thing it didn't fall onto the house.

More snow drifts.

The path Greg plowed. It's hard to tell, but it's about 13" deep here.

See that black thing on the road there? That's our cable. Which meant we didn't have TV or internet all day or night, because they can't come out until tomorrow to fix it. It was weird to feel so disconnected, so we listened to the radio once the power was back on.

I hope the weather becomes spring for you soon. The rest of us have a head start on you there!
